Previously, on the MBC website, it was reported that the Incheon Police Department had arrested two female flight attendants out of a crew of four from a Vietnamese airline on suspicion of smuggling narcotics.

The two female flight attendants are suspected of concealing liquid marijuana valued at 300 million Korean Won (over 5.4 billion Vietnamese Dong) in cosmetic containers and bringing it into South Korea since April 2023.

During their police interrogation, the two flight attendants admitted to transporting the contraband from Vietnam to South Korea for a fee ranging from 68,000 to 150,000 Korean Won (approximately 1.2 million to 2.7 million Vietnamese Dong) per delivery.

The flight attendants claimed they were unaware of the illegal substances concealed within the packages they were transporting.
